1997 Hillaceous expected to bring 600 bicyclers to Wimberley
	October 11, 1997: Wimberley, Texas will host the communities 18th annual Hillaceous bike tour which is expected to bring over 600 bikers to this beautiful Hill Country Village. The riding tour features routes of 100, 55, 35, and 20 miles, and will take bicyclists through some of the most spectacular scenic countryside that the Hill Country offers. The five Texas counties included in the tour are Hays, Blanco, Comal, Kendall and Gillespie. Truly a family oriented, non-competitive event - designed just for the fun of biking - no times are kept and no prizes are offered. However, the fabulous scenery, ambience, and magic of the countryside will offer ample reward for the effort. Numerous "rest stops" will be provided along the routes offering refreshments. Sag Wagons and Course Sweep Vehicles to assist riders in need will be provided by the event organizers. Media Cottage is proud to be a major sponsor of this annual, environmentally friendly event.
