The Texas Education Agency today announced the award of a TIE Grant to Lufkin ISD. The grant will provide funds for the build-out and provisioning of three classrooms in the district to promote Technology Integration in Education.
Media Cottage provided the concept design for the classrooms and will oversee the installation process, and provide guidance in the procurement of the equipment and software. The collaborative work centers will offer audio and video editing, graphics workstations, electronic publishing, and desktop videoconferencing in a fully networked environment. Multiple students will learn to work on various segments of a project and watch their combined efforts bring a finished product into creation.
