Media Cottage Wins 1999 TeleCon Pillar Award
The Media Cottage was presented tonight with a Pillar Award at the nineteenth annual TeleCon Conference Awards Banquet. The prestigious award was given in recognition of the Media Cottages' production of Wired For Learning which was proclaimed "the most significantly advanced in the distance learning industry".
"Wired for Learning" is a comprehensive set of six videotapes and an interactive CD-ROM which together present a complete multimedia course in the planning, development, funding, and implementation of a distance learning consortium and network. The material in the kit is further supported by a web site, wiredforlearning.org.
TeleCon is sponsored by major industry leaders and co-hosted by Teleconference Magazine and the United States Distance Learning Association. TeleCon is the world's largest exposition and conference for collaborative communications including audio, data, and videoconferencing; streaming video, desktop conferencing, distance learning, corporate training, telemedicine, and real-time interactive multimedia communications. Exposition attendance is in excess of 20,000 people.
